Rachel Adams is a physical therapist at Physical Therapy Partners who joins the team with previous experience in orthopedics and geriatrics. She utilizes an evidence-based treatment approach to ensure all patients receive quality care. She also believes patient education is key to success and makes sure to include it in every appointment. Her goal is to get to know each patient individually to customize a comprehensive treatment plan incorporating exercise, manual, and neuromuscular techniques to restore function and help the patient continue to lead an active lifestyle. She feels fortunate to have the ability to work with patients one-on-one at PTP and strongly believes this model affords her the best opportunity to serve others. Some of her clinical interests include treatment of the spine, athletic-related injuries, and vestibular and balance disorders.
Rachel was born and raised in Raleigh, NC and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from East Carolina University. When she is not helping patients she enjoys cooking, reading, being outdoors (especially at the beach!), and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
