Personalized treatment to help manage symptoms, support healthy lymphatic flow, and improve your ability to move through everyday life.
Lymphedema Therapy
Lymphedema occurs when lymphatic fluid builds up in the body’s tissues, most commonly affecting an arm or leg. It may develop following surgery, cancer treatment, lymph node removal, injury, infection, or an underlying condition affecting the lymphatic system. In addition to visible swelling, lymphedema may cause feelings of heaviness, tightness, discomfort, reduced range of motion, or difficulty completing everyday activities.
Dr. Laura Suter is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist trained to evaluate and treat the unique challenges associated with lymphedema. Because symptoms and their underlying causes vary from person to person, treatment begins with a thorough evaluation and an individualized plan based on your condition, mobility, and goals.
Treatment may incorporate manual lymphatic drainage, compression strategies, therapeutic exercise, skin-care education, and techniques you can use at home. The goal is to help control swelling, improve movement and comfort, and give you the tools needed to manage your condition over time.
